Hello, Australia

The "Animal Obsessed" episode of Dr. Phil ran on TV in Australia this week, so hello to all of my new friends there!

I've never been to AU, but I've learned a few things, like kangaroos are sometimes called "Boomers" there. I also know about some cool Dog breeds from there, like the Kelpie, Heeler, and Australian Shepherd, and of course the native Dingo type, which I learned about from an article on National Geographic magazine a long time ago.

There are lots of animal obsessed folks everywhere on the planet, and here's one from Australia who married his Dog a few years ago.

Thanks for watching, guys!

Travels With Casey

Travels With Casey is out now.

"A moody Labrador and his insecure human take a funny, touching cross-country RV trip into the heart of America’s relationship with dogs."

I got to meet Casey, Rezzy and Benoit when they stopped by to meet and for an interview. Benoit interviewed with a pen and pad, Rezzy and Casey reviewed his work with barks and sniffing noses!

Check out Travels With Casey on its own site, and watch the video with a little blip of Boomer:

I have an animal obsession on Tuesday

Whew, this is a busy month for me, media wise! It was Tosh.0 last week, and now Dr. Phil is on my tail.. :)

Phil was looking into doing a show about animal lifestyles, and his producers wondered if I was interested in barking my story, and getting the Doctor's opinion on it, so we set it up.

Locally, Dr. Phil airs on CBS KDKA channel 2.1 in Pittsburgh, afternoons at 3 pm, I hope you get a chance to watch it! For other cities, check your TV listings.

Click on Tuesday for a preview.

That's the episode schedule for the week.

It was a fun experience to go out to Hollywood for the show, and I was at Paramount Studios, the same place that my favorite TV Dog Here's Boomer would have been recorded at!

Boomer's Web Redemption

If you didn't get to see Tosh, please do so, it was a lot of fun, and I got to woof my story and answer critics on line through his 'Web Redemption' segment. Here's an uncensored, longer version of the interview:

Tosh.0 Boomer extended interview

Johnny Dare's morning show from Kansas City interviewed me before the Tosh airing, have a listen at:

Johnny has been following my name change story, and he likes Dogs too, Johnny has a Blue Heeler mix pooch.

I also did my own radio broadcast to promote the Tosh show, thanks for tuning your radios to the Dog frequency, 690 AM radio, and also for your visits to my Dog house, letting me know you saw the show, and for some pictures to claim the 25 k reward for finding Boomer.. :) I even had the chance to meet someone who is going to college for broadcasting and saw the show.

If you have a band or do some kind of radio show, get in touch so we can get you on the air on 690, see the e-mail address on the front page at the bottom.

Getting the neighborhood ready for Tosh

I did a little promotion for my appearance, holding a sign at the corner and walking around in my Dog costume, with my AM radio station announcing the show to drivers who would tune in the frequency.

Thanks to all who watched Tosh!
